Eight Reasons to Choose Novaedge for Home Care in Kirklees

Safeguarding is not a policy in a folder. It is what happens in the ten minutes after someone notices a bruise that does not fit the explanation, a bank card that has gone missing, or a person who has become quiet and watchful when a particular relative visits. Everyone at Novaedge is trained to notice those things and required to report them the same day.

Reason #1

Two named people, always reachable on one number

The service is run by a Registered Manager and a Director and Nominated Individual. One of them is on 07934 583993 at every hour of every day, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. There is no call centre, no answering service and no ticket number.

The person who picks up at seven on a Sunday morning is the person who wrote your care plan and can change it there and then.

Reason #2

Small, consistent teams rota’d for familiarity

You get a small named team, not whoever the scheduling system found. We cover absence from inside your own team wherever we can, and introduce anyone new before they arrive rather than on the doorstep.

This matters clinically, not just socially. For someone living with dementia, an unfamiliar person at the door is not an inconvenience, it is a frightening event. Continuity is the first thing most agencies quietly give up on.

Reason #3

Digital from day one

Every visit is checked in and checked out through electronic call monitoring, so a late or missed call raises an alert automatically instead of waiting for someone to notice. Medicines are recorded electronically and care plans sit on a secure system families can be given access to.

None of this replaces a kind pair of hands at the door. It means the office knows within minutes when something has gone wrong, and that you are never invoiced for a visit that did not happen.

Reason #4

A workforce that reflects the borough we serve

Kirklees is one of the most diverse boroughs in Yorkshire and we recruit accordingly. Food, faith, language, modesty, prayer times and the gender of the person helping you undress are not extras to be accommodated on request. They are the care plan, written down and rota'd for.

Diverse medical staff team
Reason #5

Honest about what we do not do

We provide personal care, not nursing. No wound care, no injections, no clinical management of catheters or stomas, no PEG feeding, no clinical observations. We do not provide live in care. We do not use restraint or any other restrictive intervention, and no member of our staff is trained in or authorised to use it.

We support adults aged 18 to 65, adults aged 65 and over, people with a physical disability and people living with dementia. Where a referral needs a specialism we are not registered for, we say so and help you find who can.

Safe recruitment verification
Reason #6

Safe recruitment, completed before anyone reaches your door

Every care worker is recruited under Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014: an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check including the adult barred list before deployment, a full employment history with gaps explained, verified references, and right to work checks. Nobody delivers unsupervised personal care until their competence has been observed.

Reason #7

Care plans written with you and reviewed at least every six months

Your plan is written with you at the free home visit, not drafted in an office and presented for signature. It records what you want to keep doing yourself, not only what you need help with.

We review formally at least every six months, and sooner whenever anything changes: a fall, a discharge, a new medicine, a bereavement. A care plan that is never revisited stops describing the person within weeks.

Reason #8

Growth limited to what the service can absorb

We will decline work we cannot staff properly rather than accept it and hope. We would rather be the best small provider in Kirklees than a stretched larger one, and will only grow at the speed our workforce and governance can genuinely take.

We are new, and here is what that honestly means

Novaedge Services Limited was incorporated on 14 January 2026 and has not yet started operating. We have applied to the Care Quality Commission for registration to provide personal care, and we will not deliver any regulated care before that registration is granted. We have no rating, because we have not been inspected. You should weigh that.

What we would say is this. The company is new; the people running it are not. Everything here is designed rather than inherited, so there is no legacy rota, no backlog of unreviewed care plans and no habit of cutting travel time for someone to unpick. An established provider that has stopped paying attention has a rating from a visit years ago and a manager who has never been to your house. Ask us for our policies, our insurance certificates and our recruitment checks, and judge the answers.
